NovaPED Running insoles/orthotics can be used to:
- Treat painful corns and hard skin.
- Support the medial longitudinal arch.
- Protect the bottom of the foot from friction and pressure.
- Spread weight more evenly across the bottom of the foot.
- Improve foot posture and help treat heel pain, arch pain and forefoot pain.
How do they work?
During walking we put approximately 1.5 times our body weight through our foot on each step. When running
this increases to 3-4 times body weight due to the increased impact involved in running or jogging.
The running specific NovaPED running orthotics have cushioning in the hind and midfoot to help absorb
the impact of running when the foot first lands on the ground (shock absorption phase). It also has a thinner forepart
area to allow effective propulsion in late stance (propulsive phase)
